| Janet E. Petkus was the sister of Carol P. Duggan who
is a long time PTA activist and President of NSPTA. Janet died on
December 22, 2000 as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile
accident. Janet had “a spirit of dedication and a willingness to dig in
and get any job done, even under trying circumstances.” said John Berg,
Chairman of the advertising agency where Janet was the Director of
Operations. Janet worked hard but leveled her efforts with a joy for
life. It is her joy for life that the family wants to celebrate through
this gift to NSPTA members. In 2004, NSPTA received notice of an annual gift from the Janet E. Petkus family created to honor Janet, Carol Duggan’s sister, and to return to the NSPTA membership the support given to them during their time of need. |
