Together, we have taken a significant step forward in the
effort to restore local control over cigarette smoke.
HB5293 has passed two committees (Public Health, and Planning and
Development). Now, and during the next few days, we have an opportunity to
persuade the House to vote on our bill. We already have the votes to pass
it. We just need the House Speaker to hold a vote.
In the Senate, there are still several legislators
who we should urge to support our legislation
If your hometown is in the table below, please call or
email your state senator, and urge them to support local control. For
example, all that you have to do is write a short message with your name,
home town, and ask them to support local control over cigarette smoke.
