CT PTA Board of Directors who is not a member of the Executive Committee and has
made an outstanding contribution to foster the work of the CT PTA during the
past year. |

The Award, inaugurated in 1984, is given in memory of Elaine Boulay, a
long-time member of the CT PTA Board of Directors.
The Award for sustained service, energy, and time is presented to a Board
member who has practiced the philosophies of PTA. It marks Elaine’s
contributions of willingness, capability, competence, reliability and the need
to “fill in the gaps”.
The Award is limited to board members only because Elaine only served on the
Board, she was never elected to office.
The Award is presented at the Annual Convention.
NOMINATIONS:
The members of the Executive Committee nominate candidates and select by a
simple majority by paper ballot an Executive Committee meeting no later than 30
days prior to the annual convention. The results are kept confidential until the
Annual Convention.
The recipient receives a plaque. A short biography and list of contributions
is published in the CT PTA BULLETIN.
